2025 Lake Of The Ozarks Shootout Racer Registration Now Open
The time has come for those participants interested in competing on the all-new three-quarter-mile Lake of the Ozarks Shootout course to pre-register their boats for the 37th annual event, which is moving to its new location on the lake—Dog Days Bar & Grill in Osage Beach—for two days of racing action on the weekend of August 23-24.

Fresh off a title sponsor announcement, not to mention the revival of the Lieutenant Governor’s Cup award for the 2025 competition, organizers of the Lippert Lake of the Ozarks Shootout Lt. Governor’s Cup powered by Performance Boat Center are excited to open registration officially to boaters from across the world.
Lake of the Ozarks Shootout executive director Leah Martin strongly encourages early registration to ensure the on-site process runs as smooth as possible. She also suggests registering ahead of time for the Poly Lift Boat Lifts Poker Run, which is scheduled for Friday, August 22, and also open on the event website.
Last year the top-speed contest, which took place for the final time at Captain Ron’s Bar and Grill in Sunrise Beach, Mo., had 118 different boats complete 240 passes on the course, and organizers are expecting at least that many next month, along with several heads-up runs and call-outs, which they’ve started doing more in the last few years.
They’re also anticipating a spectacular turnout for the Shootout’s all-encompassing kick-off event, the Shootout on the Strip presented by Waves and Wheels Marine Audio.
For more information about registering for the Shootout on the Strip along Bagnell Dam Boulevard or any other questions, Martin and her team can be reached directly by phone (573-410-7006), email or social media.
