APBA Releases 2026 Offshore Racing Schedule

The American Power Boat Association has released its 2026 offshore racing schedule. The roster, according to a document provided by APBA Offshore Racing Commission Chairman Ryan Beckley, is as follows:

Englewood Beach will host the APBA National Championship Finals in the 2026. Photo from the 2025 Englewood Beach event by Pete Boden copyright Shoot 2 Thrill Pix.

May 15–17—Thunder on Cocoa Beach, Cocoa Beach, Fla.
June 26–27—Atlantic City Grand Prix, Atlantic City, N.J.
July 31 – August 2—Great Lakes Grand Prix, Michigan City, Ind.
September 25–27—Clearwater Offshore Nationals, Clearwater, Fla.
October 8–11—Englewood Beach Waterfest/National Championship Finals, Englewood, Fla.
November 1–8—Key West Offshore World Championship Week, Key West, Fla.

Additional 2026 National Series venues are “currently under review and will be announced as confirmed,” according to the document. Information on prize-purses has not been released.

Though the Cocoa Beach and Englewood Beach event will be handled by their local producers, Race World Offshore will produce the Michigan City, Clearwater and Key West affairs. The Offshore Powerboat Association has long-produced the Atlantic City event, but according to Beckley the APBA team will handle it this year.

“The Atlantic City Tourism and Visitor’s Bureau has a signed contract with APBA to have a race there,” Beckley said. “Atlantic City came to APBA asking to produce a race and we signed a contract with Atlantic City.

“I spoke to (OPA president) Nick Smith on the phone the other day hoping to bring him on board and he didn’t like the schedule,” Beckley added. “I call him once today and have heard nothing back.”

Speedonthewater.com reached out to Smith via text message but had not received a response when this story went live.
