Big Thunder Marine ‘Fill The Boats’ Toy Drive In Motion Again
Though go-fast boating action at the Lake of the Ozarks is starting its long winter nap, there still are boating-related happenings of the holiday spirt kind happening at the Central Missouri waterway. Among those is Big Thunder Marine’s “Fill The Boat” Toy Drive that will conclude December 9.

“In partnership with the Kiwanis Club of Ozark Coast, we’re working to fill an entire boat full of new, unwrapped toys for local kids in need this holiday season,” explained Sage Rush, the marketing coordinator for the multi-brand, multi-location powerboat dealership. “The community response has been great, but we’re pushing for even more donations before December 9
“Donations are being accepted at both Big Thunder Marine showrooms, and anyone who donates receives 5 percent off apparel and gear at checkout,” she continued. “This drive directly supports families right here in the Lake of the Ozarks community.”
Donations and proceeds also will benefit organizations supported year-round by the Big Thunder group. Those outfits include CADV, Children’s Learning Center, Hope House, Kids Harbor, Lake Area Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Lake Area Helping Hands, Lake Regional Pediatrics, LOFD Car Seat Program, LOSA, Ronald McDonald House (Columbia, MO), School of the Osage Cares for Kids, Scholarships for Kids, Share the Harvest Food Pantry, Tri-County YMCA, Wonderland Camp and Central Foster Care and Adoption Association.
Added Rush, “The mission is simple: Make sure kids at the lake wake up on Christmas morning with gifts, support, and a community behind them.”
