Big Thunder Marine Offering ‘Stress-Free’ Key West Escape

As essential as it is to experience at least once in your go-fast boating life, running your own boat in the Florida Powerboat Key West Poker Run—set for November 5-11 this year—is a significant undertaking. The club does much of the logistical legwork until the docks and hotels in Key West reach capacity, but you still have the responsibility of running and caring for your own ride to consider. Unless you’re running solo, which no one does, you have passengers to keep safe and comfortable.

That’s why Big Thunder Marine is launching its own Key West Poker Run Escape in concert with the Florida Powerboat Club. The multi-location, multi-brand dealership at the Lake of the Ozarks in Central Missouri will have a fleet of Fountain Powerboats models piloted by professional captains to transport paid-guests from the Miami area to the famed city at the end of the road.

An added bonus for current and potential offshore racing fans, the dates for the run coincide with those of the Race World Offshore Key West World Championships.

According to promotional materials for the Key West adventure, “Big Thunder Marine is providing all-inclusive package options that make it easy to be part of the action, complete with premium amenities and seamless logistics. Whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned participant, Big Thunder Marine ensures a top-tier experience from start to finish.”

The mix of Fountain models slated for transport has not been determined, but Big Thunder Marine leadership is expecting solid response regardless.
