Fort Myers Offshore Members Gobbling Up The Turkey Run
No doubt about it, even the most loyal readers are groaning at the above headline. But much to the horror of my 32-year-old son and 27-year-old daughter, I never miss a chance to use a painful pun or a good dad-joke.

True story? I sent my daughter to her fifth-grade talent-show armed with pun-laced dad-jokes. She didn’t speak to me again for a couple of weeks. Such are the pains of having a daily writer for a father.
But the headline above was irresistible, and not just because I’m a hack. Fort Myers Offshore already has 60 boats registered for this Friday’s Turkey Run. Registration opened just six days ago and nonprofit scholarship fundraising club’s annual post-Thanksgiving affair already has 60 members signed up for the event.
