Gallery—Scenes From Woman Key

With no competition to capture last Saturday during the Race World Offshore Key West World Championships, photographer Jeff Helmkamp focused his attention on high-performance pleasure boats. And there were more than 150 of those beauties in town for the Florida Powerboat Club Key West Powerboat Week affair.

Helmkamp had plenty of work to do.

The largest concentration of boats made its way to Woman Key for an afternoon raft-up. Helmkamp was in the air via helicopter to captured  it all, as well as boats arriving and departing the good-time scene.

He had plenty of boats to shoot. The organic raft-up attracted dozens of models from the likes of Deep Impact, Midnight Express, MTI, Mystic, Nor-Tech and more.
