‘His And Her’ Glocks Going On Speed On The Water The Key West Auction Block

Coveted auction items keep rolling in for the live auction during the 12th annual Speed On The Water Key West Bash on Thursday, November 6, from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Pickle’s Pub Sandbar on Greene Street. The example is a matching pair of “his and her” firearms courtesy of Jeff Hoefling, who owns Lively Machine Company, Inc., in Evansville, Ind.

“We’re going to do matching Glocks—G19 for the men and a G43 for the women,” Hoefling, a longtime reader and co-organizers of the Kuttawa Cannonball Run in Kentucky, explained. The winner will have the option to have custom laser engraving and/or Cerakote graphics of their choosing.

“The Firearms will be transferred to the FFL of their choosing in their city and state of residence as listed on their state-issued identification,” he continued. “We will cover the shipping costs as well.”

The Speed On The Water Key West Bash auction will once again benefit the Key West-based Samuel’s House shelter for women and children and—new this year—AHEC Health Centers, “which provides access to no cost medical and low cost dental care for the school age children of Monroe County (Fla.), no matter their financial circumstances.”

Proceeds will be divided evenly between the two 501(c)(3) charities. Winning bidders will be required to pay immediately after the bidding on each auction item closes. No exceptions can be made.

AHEC is providing a proper auction stage for the one and only Nolan Ferris to do what he does best—wring money out of his generous friends. GoGPS, which backs Factory Stock and Super V race teams, is picking up the tab for the public address system so Ferris can be heard up and down Greene Street, which as usual will be closed to vehicle traffic from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Wozencraft Insurance Agency is returning for the ninth year in a row to sponsor the food buffet during the affair. And without Race World Offshore head Larry Bleil, has built the Speed On The Water celebration into the contract for the Key West races, none of this would be possible.
