New In-Production Deep Impact Model Badged As 449 Center Console

Originally announced as 439 model, the latest latest center console from Deep Impact Custom Boats of Opa-Locka, Fla., will be the 449 when completed in time for the 2025 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in late October. The decision to make the name change before hull No. 1 hit the water was driven by the center console’s specifications.

The new Deep Impact 449 center console will debut this fall at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.

“The boat measures over 44 feet long and looks and feels larger—with its massive 13 foot beam—than many other 45 foot boats on the market,” Mark Fischer, the owner of the company, explained. “We wanted to represent the size of this boat in the market place properly.

“As everyone knows our 399 compares in size to 42-foot offerings from many other brands.” he added

Though the first model will be powered by five Mercury Racing 500R outboard engines, the center console can be set up with five or six engines. The second 449 will have six outboards. Like all Deep Impact center consoles, the new model can be offered through Plantation Boat Mart of Tavernier, Fla.

“The 449 is the only boat in its class that was designed to hold six engines properly on the transom,” Fischer said.

Following the Fort Lauderdale show, the five-outboard 449 will run alongside the third 499 with six outboards in the early November Florida Powerboat Club Key West Poker Run.
