Performance Boat Club of Canada Scrubs Sarnia Summer Splash

Scheduled for July 21-23, the Sarnia Summer Splash charity poker run organized by the Performance Boat Club of Canada has been cancelled. The news was announced in a press release from the nonprofit club’s board of directors today.

According to the release, the launch ramp in Sarnia is closed and slated to be rebuilt in time for the event.

Super Cat Fest to Host Lake of the Ozarks Shootout Auction

For the eighth year in a row, Missouri's Alvin Heathman has been working hard to put together one of the coolest gatherings in the country, Super Cat Fest at Camden on the Lake Resort in Lake Ozarks, Mo. Featuring dozens of the latest-and-great go-fast catamarans—not to mention several classic offshore beauties—every year the event seems to get better.

Outerlimits To Celebrate Customers At Lake Of The Ozarks Shootout

Knowing that many of its customers will be on hand—with or without their boats—at the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout in late August, the folks at the Outerlimits are putting on a special event for those customers and their families and friends. On Friday, Aug. 25 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., the company will hold its “Scenic Circle Power Party” at the waterfront home of longtime client Michael “Doc” Janssen.

Three Injured in Cállate Skater Crash on Lake Havasu

Through various online reports and other industry sources, speedonthewater.com has confirmed that owner Larry Guillen and project manager Brad Stewart (the owner of E-Ticket Performance Boats), and one other passenger, were involved in a high-speed accident while testing Cállate, a Skater Powerboats 368 catamaran on Lake Havasu, the Colorado River-fed lake that border’s Arizona and California.

Outerlimits Displaying At Barrett-Jackson Northeast Auction

The canopied Outerlimits SV 43 that holds the current American Power Boat Association-sanctioned-and-certified V-bottom kilometer record of 180.464 mph will be displayed this week in the Barrett-Jackson Northeast automobile auction at the Mohegan Sun Resort and Casino in Connecticut. The event starts tomorrow with a “Preview Day” and runs through the weekend.

A New Storm is Brewing in Lake Havasu

Phantom Productions, the new team behind one of the country’s top poker runs—the Desert Storm Poker Run in Lake Havasu City, Ariz.—announced today that it is making a couple of changes to Desert Storm’s sister event in October, the former Monster Bash Poker Run.
