Nor-Tech At 35—Dueling Photo Galleries From Key West 2025
Though a precise, brand-by-brand boat count from all the goings on earlier this month in Key West, Fla., isn’t available, Nor-Tech Hi-Performance Boats models were everywhere you looked. About the only time you could glance at Key West Harbor and not see a Nor-Tech—predominantly of the center-console—running was during the Wednesday, Friday and Sunday race days for the Race World Offshore World Championship.

Thanks to good fortune and monthly retainers, Pete Boden and Jeff Helmkamp—two of the best photographers in the go-fasting boating world—were in town to capture all of the action for speedonthewater.com. And when they weren’t shooting raceboats from one perch or another, they were grabbing images of pleasure-boats.
Boden and Helmkamp even arranged for their own helicopter to shoot from on Saturday.
The volume of Nor-Tech images they collected was not surprising. But two Nor-Tech models at different ends of the company’s center-console spectrum—a 50-footer for Boden and a 39-footer for Helmkamp—captured their attention.

Now each has its own photo gallery on speedonthewater.com.
By design, this year’s “Nor-Tech At 35” anniversary series often has focused on the company’s past. But every day the company is in business, it adds to its storied history.
And with its massive fleet, the builder did a fine job of that in Key West.
