Rocky Top Power Run Organizers Making Sign-Up Push
If registration for the upcoming Rocky Top Power Run on Norris Lake in Tennessee closed right now, organizers Matt Rogers of Rogers Bros Detailing, Chad Montgomery of Fast Quotes For Fast Boats and realtor Zoe Ferrell would have almost 50 boats and more than 130 participants—thanks to 22 sponsors with multiple ticket packages—to host. Those are solid numbers for the third-year happening, which is set for August 7-9.
Yet Rogers and company want to reach and maybe even surpass the 100-boat market. And they have a good reason to believe that will happen. Almost 70 percent of last year’s 130-plus-boat registered during the final week-and-half before the run.
“Last-minute registration is hard to remedy, especially since it is a fairly new run,” Rogers said. “I do not expect to be selling out early being so new in this game, but I know that will come in time.”

With two weeks to go, organizers of the Rocky Top Power Run are expecting a big registration push. Photo by Jeff Helmkamp copyright Helmkamp Photos.
Plus, the organizing group has two weeks before the 2025 event begins. “I am enthusiastic, but not unrealistic,” Rogers said.
Would-be participants can click here to register.
Walk-in registration is open until Saturday morning, August 9, though the organizers would prefer participants to register online rather than in person on the day of the main event.
